Free Advice Service
  • Do you have a legal problem? Need to know whether there is anything that can be done about it, but don’t want to run up an unnecessary bill if there isn’t?

We will give you a FREE initial consultation (usually half an hour) with one of our trained staff, during which we’ll listen to your questions, consider the legal position and give you advice as to what legal steps can be taken (and the likely cost), completely free of charge and without obligation. You can then decide whether you want to take any further action.
  • Are you looking to move house, buy or lease business premises, let property to tenants or mortgage it? Concerned about the possible cost and need to be able to budget in advance?

We will advise you of all the likely expenses involved (as far as we can from the information available) and give you a detailed written estimate, without obligation. We’ll also include a breakdown of the work involved and free advice regarding practical matters and important factors to be considered.
  • Do you have family, dependents or loved ones that you want to provide for in the event of your death? Know you should make a will, but have been putting it off because you’re not sure what to do?

We’ll be happy to give you general advice regarding Wills and basic Estate Planning (including steps that can be taken to reduce inheritance tax) and if you instruct us to deal with your requirements there is usually no charge for this initial advice.
  • Concerned about long term care needs for yourself or a member of your family? Need advice or assistance with legal arrangements to protect the interests of yourself, or someone you care for, in old age or infirmity?

We can point you in the right direction and give you general advice regarding protection of assets and income, Powers of Attorney and Discretionary Trusts. We can also advise regarding Advance Directives and Health Proxies (“Living Wills”).
  • We’re easy to talk to.

You’ll find all our staff friendly and helpful and ready to listen to your legal queries.

We naturally hope that, once you have had the opportunity to talk to us, you’ll want us to act for you. When we do, we will of course have to make a charge for our services, but we strive to be as competitive as possible and we believe you will find our charges are always reasonable. We will do our best to give you a clear and accurate estimate of the likely costs, before taking action on your behalf, and tell you as soon as we can if the estimate needs to be changed for any reason.
